Juanita Cheer Camp

The Juanita cheer team attended UCA cheer camp at Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA during the first week of August. Cheer camp is an opportunity for cheerleaders to learn new skills, grow their leadership experience and bond with their team, plus the waterpark and arcade on Sunday night also didn't hurt!

This is Juanita Cheerleading's third time at a UCA cheer camp. While some days are physically and emotionally challenging, these 22 athletes came together and stole the show every time they took the mat. They were evaluated on 4 different material elements, Cheer, Stunt sequence, camp routine and pyramid. Led by senior Captains Ella, Grace and Megan, Juanita was awarded 1 gold and 2 blue ribbons for their material evaluations, 1st place for their stunt sequence and 4th place for their camp routine. We would also like to congratulate our All-American recipients, Grace, Kate, Nela, Lexi, Camryn and Hailey! These 6 ladies were awarded the honor of "All American" after performing material in front of the entire camp and being evaluated by the UCA staffers. They are eligible for exciting opportunities like performing in the London 2025 New Years day parade! 

We also had cheerleaders; Megan B., Ellery, Sam and Lucy recognized by other teams at the camp for outstanding leadership who all received a "Pin It Forward" pin from UCA staff members and members from other teams attending camp. 

Regardless of the awards, we are the most impressed by this team's teamwork and commitment to progress throughout the week. Juanita cheer is incredibly grateful for the support of the Booster Club, our amazing cheer parents, and Juanita Administration that helped make cheer camp possible this season.
